With the MK1 Mondeo, though, it seems to go the other way. bzcat Posted February 13, 2013 Share Posted February 13, 2013 Very interesting! From what I can see, the rear of the Dearborn design became Mercury Mystique. And the initial Cologn design with its blacked-out c-pillar and triangle front turn signal didn't survive to become Mondeo but it clearly influenced the design of Ford Laser (Mercury Tracer in the US).
