sullynd
Watch Tanner Foust rip a SVT Raptor around the world-famous Nurburgring in Germany. On Youtube. Pure awesome.

RichardJensen
No need to apologize. This is awesome. This is just the kind of subversive/gonzo stuff that should be done to the/at the Nurburgring.
92merc
Wish they had more video. That would be awesome to see how if faired against some other vehicles. I think Tanner got to drive the Raptor in the desert on a previous season of Top Gear US.
SoonerLS
I think Tanner got to drive the Raptor in the desert on a previous season of Top Gear US. He got to drive an aftermarket-upgraded (Hennessey, maybe?) 750hp Raptor in one of the few episodes of TG:US I watched.
Moosetang
Great vid, but I want a video of the whole lap. At least a longer clip that shows more of it on the ring. Wish Richard Hammond would get a Top Gear segment driving a Raptor, thought for sure they'd film one last time they were in the US.
YT90SC
Faust is such a toolbox. I agree Hamster would be FAR more interesting.
chevys
Ha ha ha. I love it! I sure wish they had a better and longer video.
jpd80
Did they manage to put down some good clean laps clear of traffic?
Moosetang
Did they manage to put down some good clean laps clear of traffic? Unless you rent the whole ring or run in the middle of the night, clear of traffic isn't gonna happen.
BORG
Would love to take my MKX to the Nurburgring. Just a little fantasy of mine because it's so bonkers and hasn't been done, and it really isn't a slouch. But yeah, I would be terrified to take the Raptor around at those speeds with that suspension. Edited March 11, 2013 by BORG
Sherminator98
But yeah, I would be terrified to take the Raptor around at those speeds with that suspension. From what I heard about the Raptor, the Suspension isn't all that different in ride vs a stock F-150...depending on your views might be scary on a race track
92merc
From what little video they show, it looks like the suspension is very forgiving. Hell Tanner was jumping curbs left and right that would have been leaving body parts scraped on the other cars. The Raptor just jumped right over them. Looks to me like the worst part was related to tossing a high centered vehicle around corners that the low slung cars could handle. But then Tanner would romp on the power and catch right up. But then again, we don't know who Tanner is up against. He would be considered a professional driver. Not sure if the others on the track at the time were enthusiasts, pros, or amateurs. As for bumps - I've never actually been in a vehicle that can take a large/HUGE bump at speed better than it. Its also very easy to control the back end to slide it out, very progressive break out. Even if you hit a large pothole on a curve it is remarkably controlled for any car let alone a pickup.
