Fastronaut
That depends on how you drive and keeping the tires properly inflated.I haven't looked up the numbers for the tires on my car but they should be good for at least 50,000 miles. One recommendation is that the Tire mobility kit that comes with the car uses a sealer that will destroy the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) in the wheel. Tire repair kits are commonly available for less than $10 that are labeled as being TPMS safe. http://www.lowes.com/pd_76588-14350-S420-6_0__?Ntt=fix+a+flat&UserSearch=fix+a+flat&productId=3692650&rpp=32 This not a permanent repair. It is intended to keep you moving until the tire can be repaired properly or replaced. I wonder why Ford didn't use a TPMS-friendly repair substance. It sure makes sense to spend $10 on a can of Fix A Flat if it doesn't ruin a $100 sensor.
Fastronaut
Fix a Flat also sells a complete road kit: http://www.fixaflat.com/products/tire-repair-kits/ultimate-1-step-tire-repair-kit/ Sold at Wal-Mart for $29.97 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fix-A-Flat-Ultimate-1-Step-Flat-Tire-Repair-Kit/21800629 Wonder if 1) It will fit in the same location as the standard Ford Kit -or- 2) A can of Fix a Flat will fit in the standard Ford kit instead of what they provide
