I mean, the interior of these trucks dates back to 2008 I believe. Rather old and outdated. Yeah, I don't know why they haven't done this either.

No flames please, but as I've said many times, think of the incremental sales lost because they offer BS excuses why they can't offer air brakes on 650/750 gas models. A lot of class 6 and 7 operators run a business where their trucks are used in support of their primary business. Without them they would be forced to hire someone for that support and or suffer the disruption to their business while waiting for that outside support. And a key point, they are more likely to buy that truck when the up front price is some $12,000 less then a diesel. Oh side note...Hino was supposedly going to offer class 8 trucks then every thing was apparently derailed when they had their compliance issues. While I have not seen any news that says they are back on schedule with that, apparently they are as one of the "ad rags" I get shows one of those "class 6/7" Hinos for sale with about a 15 yd dump body and 46,000 lb. rears! About 5-maybe 10 years ago- I was seeing a ton of Hinos on I-91 here in CT. I'm quite sure there was a Hino dealer in Springfield or W. Springfield MA. However, I haven't seen many in the last 2 years or so.

Keep in mind Hino went nearly 2 years without selling any new trucks in the U.S. due to their emissions scandal. They are back to selling new trucks with compliant Cummins diesels. However, it's anyone's guess how much longer Hino will remain in North America, as they are in the process of being spun off by Toyota and aquired by Daimler Truck. I somehow didn't know about the emissions scandal. How many truck brands can any company own before an antitrust suit kicks in either nationally or globally? GearheadGrrrl
Been thinking of buying a Class 5/6 diesel truck and I've noticed a lot of new leftover Isuzus, Chevy tilts, and even the badge engineered Hino version of the Isuzu going for used truck prices. The International built Chevy 5500/6500 are in oversupply too. Is there something wrong with these Isuzu cabovers or just supply exceeding demand? 7Mary3
Isuzu is a geat little truck. Overall cost-of-ownership is low. Only real issue is they ride a bit rough being a cabover.

SoonerLS
Someone I know went to a truck show in Joplin, MO this weekend. He took a bunch of pics, but I thought these might be of interest here.

The CLT is a beauty but the T-850 is a gem given its age-I'm guessing a 63 to 65 judging by badge and it is a "low roof". I think '66 is when they boosted head room with the raised roof. The old F-2 or F-3 in background is pretty cool too😎
Bob Rosadini
Took a drive today through the yard of what I believe is the largest truck equipment up fitter in New England. If I had to guess I would say at least 250 pick ups, class 4-5 , 6-7 and class 8s. Large number of 150's in Mass DOT Yellow. Probably 30 Mass DOT Fl 114's single axle and tandems , then my guess would be an equal mix of Macks, Western Stars, and Internationals. Surprisingly only a couple of Paccars. Highest percentage of the class 8's were obviously plow trucks judging by extended front frames for head gear. F-750's ...2! Both same order judging by red color, V-8s and extended front frame extensions without bumpers. I would say the majority of 1-5 were Fords followed by GMs, very few Rams. Joe771476
Just want to extend condolences to the loved ones of victims of the UPS plane crash in Louisville, Kentucky. One article stated a Ford plant was dangerously close to the crash. Just curious, is there more than one? You have the following near Louisville: Louisville Assembly Plant (Escape/Corsair-new EV) This is the one next to the airport and is closed because of it. Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant-Super Duty, Navigator, Expedition I think there is a battery plant some where close by to that is getting built? Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant-Super Duty, Navigator, Expedition I think there is a battery plant some where close by to that is getting built? Ford Escape, Lincoln Corsair Production Halted After UPS Plane Crash After the crash occurred, power was turned off at the Louisville Assembly plant, which is located directly next to UPS Worldport - the largest such facility operated by UPS across the globe, as well as the headquarters for UPS Airlines. Workers at the plant sheltered in place after the incident, and were eventually evacuated once the coast was clear. "Louisville Assembly Plant employees went home last night after the controlled power outage took effect across the local area. No employee injuries we're aware of," Ford spokesperson Jessica Enoch said. Enoch added that production at the Louisville plant will remain paused at least through the morning shift today, due to a controlled power outage in the area, though the plant itself didn't suffer any damage from the crash. Todd Dunn, president of UAW Local 862, also confirmed that no employees at the facility were injured as a result of this incident.
