WhizKid21
Hello All... For those of you lucky enough to already have your HyTi's, is there a charging point of some sort in the trunk? Thanks!
expresspotato
Hmm? I don't think a HyTi is any different than a regular SE hybrid or the soon to be S hybrid... Only the Energi has a charger port.
hybridbear
Do you mean a port to charge the battery or a power outlet where you can plug in 110V accessories?
Barsoom
If you mean alligator clip posts to use an exernal 12V battery charger plugged into an AC outlet in your garage, then there are two sets - one under the hood and the other in the trunk. There is a panel on the left inside of the trunk where the 12V battery is stored. You can open the panel and directly access the battery. Under the hood, there is a plastic cover on the right side of the engine that looks like a battery, but is not. On the left of the his cover is a positive lead under a red rubber cap. For jump-starting your hybrid, this is where you connect the positive (red) lead. Towards the back behind this plastic cover is a metal screw that sticks up about an inch from the metal frame. This is the negative post. These only charge the 12V accessory battery, not the high voltage EV battery. I believe that battery only charges via the generator/alternator from the combustion engine.
