And did stop...The government

Recommended Posts

yes, because it's the president's fault the House won't vote on a clean CR. Not.

The President has plenty that he is at fault for in this mess. His hands are not clean no matter how much you protest his innocence. Orders to barricade open air monuments and shut down parking lots just to harass average Americans came from his office. He is petty and cruel and his leadership skill is pathetic.

I guess when republicans are willing to furlough 800,000 workers, closing a few monuments must seem really petty to conservatives. I mean surely he could do something really asinine like what the House did right? not this little stuff that matters sooooo much to conservatives.

I'm not crazy about the furlough either, but the actions of one does not excuse the actions of another. Except in your mind I guess. The White House has obviuosly gone out of their way to harass and punish the American public in an effort to get them to turn against the Republicans. But it didn't work because the American people are not nearly as dumb as liberal democrats think they are. The end result is that the both parties are getting blamed for their actions in this affair.

Again not as much as they believe that republicans are at fault.

Well I guess that it makes it ok then when Obama needlessly harasses the Amercian public with his petty tactics doesn't it?

I guess that makes it okay for the Republicans to harass 800,000 Americans with furloughs.

Stop whining about Obama for stepping on some toes when House republicans shot people in the head. It's chicken shit.

No. It's the president's fault that the families of dead and injured soldiers were denied benefits.

Obama is taking his toys and going home. And until "Let's Move" is shut down, he's a flaming hypocrite!

No, that's on your side.

Out of that session, held one morning in a location the members insist on keeping secret, came a little-noticed “blueprint to defunding Obamacare,” signed by Mr. Meese and leaders of more than three dozen conservative groups.
It articulated a take-no-prisoners legislative strategy that had long percolated in conservative circles: that Republicans could derail the health care overhaul if conservative lawmakers were willing to push fellow Republicans — including their cautious leaders — into cutting off financing for the entire federal government.

And still your going to blame Obama. Your as bad as the rest of them. Won't take responsibility for what conservatives and republicans did. F***ing typical.

To many Americans, the shutdown came out of nowhere. But interviews with a wide array of conservatives show that the confrontation that precipitated the crisis was the outgrowth of a long-running effort to undo the law, the Affordable Care Act, since its passage in 2010 — waged by a galaxy of conservative groups with more money, organized tactics and interconnections than is commonly known.
With polls showing Americans deeply divided over the law, conservatives believe that the public is behind them. Although the law’s opponents say that shutting down the government was not their objective, the activists anticipated that a shutdown could occur — and worked with members of the Tea Party caucus in Congress who were excited about drawing a red line against a law they despise.
A defunding “tool kit” created in early September included talking points for the question, “What happens when you shut down the government and you are blamed for it?” The suggested answer was the one House Republicans give today: “We are simply calling to fund the entire government except for the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare.”

There it is, why the government is shutdown and the you buying the propaganda that abounds. How does it feel to be the uniformed voter talking all sorts of shit that they planned for you to say?

The Polls show the GOP stunt may have killed any chances of taking over the Senate any time soon and possibly losing the House in 2014. The second foot will come down when people see how well Obamacare helps the Country. The losers keep on losing and I see no end in sight for those crazies.

Yes, to both.

Hey in all honesty I hope he's right. I don't care who is in charge so long as we have leaders who are effective, uphold the constitution and aren't tyrants.

Anyone here think that sounds like either party right now?

Even John McCain seen this coming. What happen to you? You don't watch MSNBC I can see. I watch Fox News myself. They're fair and balanced as you idiots. Can't wait for Rush & Glen tomorrow myself. I like how wasted they get talking about Obama. Not near as good as SNL, but it's all I can find during the day.

BH, if one side wants a shutdown and works to make it happen by trying to force the other person to do things their way, who caused the shutdown? The fault lies with House republicans and you know it. They wanted a shutdown, planned for a shutdown and got it. Now you and other republican apologists want to blame the Democratic Senate for not giving in to their outlandish demands. That's bullshit and you know it.
