jasonj80
Well after the refreshed Fusion was shown yesterday, driving to work this morning I came across the 2017 MKZ. From the front the headlights look very Audi esk and grill looks to be going the Continental route.
Anthony
I think the Continental grille goes nicely with pretty much any body design. That will be a nice change across the board. Looking forward to seeing this one.

RichardJensen
Not sure if serious. It is clearly not, as the whole dang greenhouse is carryover.
akirby
I thought it was obvious. Let me try again. Is this on CD6? :happy feet: :stirpot:

jpd80
Great pick up jasonj80. Looks like the new styling will spread to both the cars first and that's understandable considering the recent release of MKC and MKX,. Slowly but surely, Lincoln is edging upwards.... Hydro
will they give it some Nuts under the hood?
Justdatdude
^ I know right? I think the engine lineup should be 2.3 base, hybrid,2.7eb optional and 3.0eb "red label"
akirby
2.7L EB for sure, maybe the 3.0L EB.
jpd80
2.7L EB for sure, maybe the 3.0L EB. Even just the 2.7 EB and AWD option would be a nice incremental over the current NA V6 option. A quick look at the CTS and there's no TTV6 until you hit CTS-V and $83K People wonder why CTS sells like ass...there's no sizzle or hybrid tech. fuzzymoomoo
I don't think the MKZ will get the 3.0 yet. My understanding is that the Continental will be the first Lincoln to get it, meaning it probably won't make it to the MKZ until the next generation
jasonj80
They need to add a plugin version of the MKZ as well as the MKC when the next verison is launched. While I do like the new MKX the lack of wow powertrain was a bit of a disappointment.
jpd80
While I do like the new MKX the lack of wow powertrain was a bit of a disappointment. So, the 2.7 EB in FWD and AWD is not wow enough?
ANTAUS
Sucks the MKX is barely out, and Lincoln already moving to a new face design. It will soon look like the odd duck of the bunch. Hopefully they can inject some balls into the powertrain, the 2.7L Eco should definately be in there, I just hope they have the other warez to work with it properly. twintornados
I have never been a fan of the "corporate face" design style.....what works well on one car design does not mean it will work on other design.... Give each car their own character....the Continental should be an exclusive design to Continental. MKZ / Zephyr should have its own language to entice its own intended audience. akirby
Who says they're changing the utilities? That face is only for the cars AFAIK.
Justdatdude
The new grille is the new face of Lincoln according to David Woodhouse.
ANTAUS
Which means, it'll go onto all vehicles. I'm sure it'll integrate nicely onto all vehicles. The current winged type works well in the sedans but looks horrible in the Navi. This squar-cle variation is easy to style onto all vehicles, just look how well it looks on all the Kias across the line. To a lesser extent, Jaguar. Eh I actually think the Navigator looks pretty good.....though maybe that's partially because of how unattractive the model it replaced was..
SoonerLS
will they give it some Nuts under the hood? Good Lord, I hope not. I have enough trouble with bushy-tailed tree rats without adding something to attract them to the engine bay...
aneekr
Good Lord, I hope not. I have enough trouble with bushy-tailed tree rats without adding something to attract them to the engine bay... If yellow sac spiders join those rats in the engine compartment, at least Ford has a solution for keeping their webs from negatively affecting fuel vapor lines.

akirby
I think that's a good move. My wife especially does not like the current MKC/X grilles.
