You are over generalizing! Not everyone is blessed like you are! With a wife that probably makes more money than you! With Parents that are well off! With children that have full paid scholarships! Most people that want to work overtime , is out of need. Not because they want to live pay check to pay check.

If you're making $29/hr and need to work overtime it is beyond time to seek financial help.

It does if you base your living on 40 hours!

Bad logic, wages remain the same vs years ago while prices of simple things like gas, milk, electricity, etc. have increased quite a bit.

Either way there is nothing wrong with someone WANTING OT so they can retire early.

Hahahaha.

I'd love some OT coming in that steady, quit your bitching.

Unbelievable........some people like OT, some people hate OT, some people need OT.......regardless of the individuals needs, if the contract is not being followed, it needs to be addressed. The way Ford forces OT on people needs to stop. If production can't be met with regular hours or voluntary OT, then they need to hire more workers....not force longer hours on those that do not want it. Under certain conditions I can understand temporary forced OT.....but making 10.5hrs. or 12hrs. the norm with no option is abuse. We are not China.

never heard of an hour between shifts rule. when LAP was on 5 days the line never stopped, day shift handed night shift the air gun & night shift did the next truck for YEARS. we are on 3 crew 4 day shifts now & there are times when there is only a half hour between, we have been in a perpetual launch mode for the last 5 years.
