install101spam
Thanks for the post. I was getting nervous because we per-ordered a 2016 in hopes of finding out the 2017 changes before taking delivery. Your post came 3 days before we are to take delivery. We will be sticking with the 2016 since we like the Bronze Fire better than the new colors. To each their own :-) Edited August 18, 2016 by install101spam
theoldwizard
Just the opposite ! We needed a new car (10 year old Fusion was shifting "odd") so we had to take what was "on the lot". The wife really liked the new Burgundy Velvet that she saw on a 2017 Fusion, that is now available on the 2017 Edge ! Oh well, we are impressed with the 2016 Edge so far ! I do think Ford is making a mistake in ONLY offering the 2.7L EcoBoost on the Sport model. I would also like to see it offered with a Class III Trailer Towing option (probably limited to 5,000-6,000 lbs with a weight distribution system) including more cooling (coolant, engine oil and transmission fluid) and pre-wired for electric brakes. Bond007
I was really hoping to see LED headlights come to the new model year. What is taking Ford so long to incorporate LEDs into more than just the F150?!?
BORG
Edge does have LED headlights in global markets but they don't meet federal regulations here. Several Fords have LED headlight now like Fusion, Explorer has them standard. Ford is doing relatively well despite a very late start on LED DRLs. Most of their cars now have LED tailights standard which is still fairly rare. Edited August 20, 2016 by BORG
