rmc523
As the article points out, I was going to say maybe they just tack the Evos name on whatever "crossover" they add to replace Mondeo/Fusion.
madlionm
They should've just kept the Mondeo/Fusion going for longer. The new redesign is pretty solid but we'll see what this turns out to be.

A proper facelift, 2.5 hybrid setup as well as 2.3 EB & 8AT actually, Evos pics look a lot like what Ford is doing with Mach E, Coming full circle? Dequindre
The Evos was an attractive concept, so perhaps there is still a bit of positive equity left in the name.
atomcat68
I think that Mach E and Mondeo Evos would likely be the same car with the Evos being exported from the USA to Europe. The Mondeo and Fusion had different names despite being the same car and this could be the case here too.

Ford could have chosen a completely new name that they never used before.
02MustangGT
Or Ford could choose a design direction that isn’t ripped from an 8 year old concept.

Still looks thoroughly up to date to me. A lot of other companies would kill to have anything close to it .
