crawdaddy905
Took a 2009 Ford Ranger Sport for a test drive today, 1st time driving a Ranger. Had it in park and "put the pedal to the metal" and it would only get to 4500rpm and cut back, still giving it gas it would drop and as soon as it got to 4000 it increased the rpm's. It would do this all the time. Took it for drive and floored it, when past 4500rpm to 6000rpm without any problems. Is there a rev limiter on these trucks? fordtech1
Yes all newer Ford’s have rev limiters.
twintornados
25 plus years ago when I worked at a Toyota dealership as a salesman, when a customer would come in to look at a car and offered their vehicle for trade, the sales manager would take their car around back and out of view of the customer as they were "oooh-ing and ahhh-ing" over a new Toyota. While back there "checking out" their trade, he would rev the piss out of it trying to get it to blow up so they would have to buy a new car...he was such a dick. I didn't stay there long and thankfully, got out of automotive retail...not for everyone. Edited August 22, 2019 by twintornados
