No, not at all.

 

In fact, Ford do Brasil just started development for their next EcoSport. Territory is coming down there. Word is the Escape is also going into Brazil.

 

They just lanced the facelift Ranger. F-150 is going to be sold in Argentina.

I like the idea of external storage, keeping it inside takes up valuable space.   Although this might be less of a problem in the 2-door version if the doors can go up against the interior bedside.

However, that might interfere with the spare tire??

Maybe if the doors could go on the roof...

I think (if I remember correctly) Ford do Brasil, as a whole, would lose some fiscal incentives if they close that plant in Ceará. So, despite being small, it has some financially strategic reasons to exist
