In fact, Ford do Brasil just started development for their next EcoSport. Territory is coming down there. Word is the Escape is also going into Brazil. They just lanced the facelift Ranger. Although this might be less of a problem in the 2-door version if the doors can go up against the interior bedside. However, that might interfere with the spare tire?? I think (if I remember correctly) Ford do Brasil, as a whole, would lose some fiscal incentives if they close that plant in Ceará.
