Odd statement since Ford doesn't build that anymore...I also noticed that no one drove an EXP.

Point is, as a marketing tool it's as bad as the Chevy "real people".

Oh you hate Ford? Here, drive a GT. Not, hey drive the vehicles that make you hate Ford.

They weren't Ford owners, they owned other brands.

It's not nearly as bad as the Chevy commercials because they don't harp on JD Power awards or get them to gush about Fords.  They just show them driving and being driven in Ford vehicles and their reactions.

this is Edsel's son?  And what is his position in company?  In addition to Elena,  how many other "Fords" are still active?

Yes Edsel Ford II's son. He's manager of corporate strategy whatever that means. It's nice to see a younger Ford being used in marketing. It gives the company "a human face" that most corporations the size of Ford don't have. Anyhow it's funny and a better take on it all compared to the Chevy "Real People" ads that seem very staged with actors.

Thx  Agree on the  "human face"  aspect and I think they don't do enough to play that card.  Granted not everyone gives a hoot about that connection but in this age of faceless corporate entities I think it is a good marketing asset.

then again, ANYTHING is better than the "real people" Cheby ads!

I had one! I really miss that car and would like to find another one day and restore it.

I had an 86 Escort GT as my first car and I see them pop up time to time online...though given how badly the rear shock towers rot on them, good luck on finding one without rust damage.
