Why would it?  Ford gets $0 revenue from a CPO sale except for the warranty.  You want to encourage people to buy new.

From what I understand they were trying to expand their CPO sales as well hence why they were offering almost the same service perks as buying new the CPO market is pretty aggressive today too specially from Lexus, Jaguar, and the likes.  It could also help those who may only buy CPO to step up to a new vehicle as well.

I suppose there could be a marketing advantage there but I would not expect it to be included.

Hi Andrew. Lincoln CPO owners can register as LincolnAccess members. And they will accrue points for service, accessory purchases etc, the same as new owners/buyers. The only thing they miss out on is the points for purchasing their vehicle new, since the original owner already got those points.

Lincoln Access essentially replaces the old Lincoln Loyalty program, which worked the same way.
