silvrsvt
found this on facebook in one of the Bronco groups-but I’m 100% sure this isn’t a Bronco mule or might not be a Ford product-any ideas? Only thing that comes to mind is an early NG Edge mule?
fuzzymoomoo
I don't know what it is but it's definitely not a Bronco. You can tell whatever it is is unibody looking at the wheel wells, there's no frame under there. NG Edge seems as good of a guess as any. The greenhouse plastic bits are exactly the same as the current Edge...so I'll go with NG Edge. The rear end is slightly interesting with the wheelwells being cut out like that-I wonder if its moving to the Explorer platform?

92merc
Looks kind of lifted to me. Odd gap from front tire to wheel well. Just looks too tall to be an Edge. Unless it's a 3 Row Edge, it looks a bit long too. Not really sure what it is.

T-dubz
It has the sloping roof line of the aviator but looks like it’s a bit jacked up. Aviator Raptor it is!!!???
silvrsvt
Since past the C Pillar is all jacked up and the suspension is riding high-could this be an mule for a smaller pickup?
T-dubz
Are those ford wheels? They look kinda like Mazda wheels.
rmc523
you'd think with a vehicle sitting there by itself like that that whoever took those would've taken a slew of photos. I would've. I remember years ago I saw 3 EcoSports (pre our version/refresh) randomly in a parking lot here in south Florida - I turned around, parked and hopped out and started taking pictures from lots of angles. novanglus
I don’t see any exhaust routing. The front wheelhouse also looks odd. Could be one of the two EV CUVs(presumably Edge/Nautilus) Ford is developing.

jpd80
I thought Ford said that C2 can cover up to Edge, Maybe all they’re doing is re-uniting C1 and CD4

jpd80
As far as I know CD6 is a one off - Explorer/Aviator as the sedan was killed off early and Mustang will just sit beside and share whatever parts it can, they’re not going to make a whole new Mustang, just heavy evolution. All that happened when JH cut vehicle spending, FWD car/ Ute handled mostly under expanded C2 exceptions being subcompacts and fwd Transit custom in Europe, they’re different but share a lot of things under the skin Edited October 8, 2019 by jpd80
jpd80
Well Hackett did take billions away from some existing vehicle product cycles to go fund BEV, AV, and connectivity. Edge would be one of those casualties, well sorta.... Edited October 9, 2019 by jpd80

ausrutherford
Ford has already said all FWD vehicles will be under one architecture. So Ka to an Edge can be on the same architecture.
