I won't beat a dead horse but they definitely could have added a little more bronco touch with a proper tailgate and power window... and by incorporating a design element from the newer full-size broncos I think you could have made a really cool fusion and homage to entire Bronco legacy in one vehicle.

Too bad they couldn't bring this to market in 2019, and offer the 2-door in an all-white "OJ" 25th anniversary edition,,,,,

After seeing this photo with the two-door in the background I'm starting to get a much better feeling about the two-door. That first image of the clay model two-door was not very inspiring. The four-door has little too much Land Rover in it for me. It's probably just the thickness of the roof and I get it that is probably necessary to hide the roll cage but the two-door with the top removed just does a better job of screaming BRONCO!

It's also pretty obvious that Ford has put a tremendous amount of effort into building a functional SUV right down to the tie-downs on the top of the front fenders. Function over form. Perfect! Can't wait for the official reveal...

Something else that I read on another forum was that the door skins are removable which will leave a tubular door in place. That explains why the mirrors are on the fenders and not on the doors and why there are no exposed door hinges as on the original Bronco. Very cool!

Sounds like it will come in more pieces than a Lego Millennium Falcon.

Are those are tie-down handles near the front of the hood, or latches for the hood itself?

I'm trying to figure how the roof panels come off when the cargo rails seem to be in the way.

The handles appear to be part of the fender

Yes and you all need new glasses.

And the same people swore that the camo vehicles would be nothing more then a Unibody CUV too. From what I've seen on Facebook and other places on the internet, a great many people have zero deductive skills when it comes to styling and outside of hitting them upside the head with a production model, would have no clue.

Keep in mind these leaked photos (outside of maybe the Bronco Sport) are pre-production units that don't have there full "jewelry" installed...I don't think we will be seeing a Piano Black Grill (which the details can't be really well seen in these potato camera shots) on all Broncos and most likely there will be painted fender flairs on diffferent trim models.

just to add to this, on another forum a user was saying the led DRLs were not going to be standard on all models. The lower models had some plastic trim in place of the leds. I hope that’s not the case as it seems the DRLs really add to the vehicle in my opinion.

I'm loving it! Honestly, I do wish it had a power roll down rear window and a truck tail gate rather than a swing window - it would make removing the hard top slightly easier with out the window weight or worry that you are going to break the rear window. Plus, you can roll down the window while driving.  However...I'm sure the aftermarket will take care of that!

You REALLY don't think it looks a little Jeepish, even from the back?

It's not just a couple of us here, I've read on other forums people who also got jeep vibes too.  I won't beat a dead horse but they definitely could have added a little more bronco touch with a proper tailgate and power window... and by incorporating a design element from the newer full-size broncos I think you could have made a really cool fusion and homage to entire Bronco legacy in one vehicle.

This is not a 2nd gen inspired Bronco.  This is clearly a 1st gen inspired Bronco and that never had a power rear window.

Look at the front 3/4 shot and tell me if it looks more like a Bronco or a Wrangler.  To me it looks 100% Bronco and 0% Wrangler.

People saying Wrangler are just looking at the removable top, big tires and spare tire.

Obviously the new bronco is more geared towards the classic Bronco, I don't care. I'm a FSB guy, I like the power rear window, but that's just my personal preference since It's what I grew up with.

What uhhh.... what's your point there buddy? I've already acknowledged Fords design goal,  and I don't care what the original bronco came with. The original bronco didn't have a super modular roof or electronic lockers either, it has all kinds of awesome new stuff the original did not.

It's cool that it's 1st gen inspired, but that doesn't mean you can't improve upon a classic! Which they clearly have. Ford could have made a carbon copy of the 1st gen but added a power rear window and I would be fucking ecstatic... but they didn't, and the world keeps on spinning. I was disappointed, I admit it... but i'm glad you and plenty of others here are happy!  I want this thing to be a huge success.... because maybe a future version might be more my bag, or maybe they even decide to build a fullsize Bronco XL!  Whatever happens, it's still cool to have the Bronco back.

Stop trying to argue my opinion you weirdo lol. Agree to disagree and move on.

I decided to look up some jeep pictures before you posted this to prove you wrong... and i started to notice all the little details that are different, so in a way you are right. But I never claimed it was a carbon copy... just that it evoked some jeep feels. I'm not an artist or a designer obviously.  I'm still not getting a super-Bronco vibe, but maybe when i see some more production ready pics it will come together and grow on me.

Edit:

Thank you Anthony!  I knew I wasn't crazy.  I'm not the only one!

And it appears to have a lift gate (or whatever the heck you wanna call it ) for the back glass.

I'd have liked to see a roll down rear window, but I get why they didn't do it.

It looks like the roof comes off in 3 pieces, first row, second row, and cargo area. The cargo area windows also appear to come off in 3 pieces. The rear glass folds out so it doesn’t look like there’s a power window on the swing gate.

I was kinda hoping they would have “FORD” stamped in the tailgate like the original bronco did but I guess that’s not happening.

this version is definitely more subdued than the white one. I’m guessing this is a base version or xlt version.

does Jeep charge extra for the hard top or is it included in the price? I’m curious as to how ford will approach this.

also notice the two door in the background. It looks much longer than the clay model.

There's likely not enough room on the swing gate to make a stamped FORD be worth doing it.

Yeah, it's definitely a lower trim, look at the taillights - they're incandescent/not LED.

The Wrangler I think technically comes standard with the soft top, but most get the hardtop.

The Bronco is supposed to shown off officially in the next 20 days...the Bronco Sport was supposed to be at the NYIAS

Latest rumor I heard was maybe this weekend for the Bronco....

I would think they'd want to promote "BRONCO BEING SHOWN 03.XX.20?  No?

You could slide them out under?  Or if they're multiple pieces, it could move toward the middle?

There were patent drawings that eluded to that.  Interesting.  Maybe they're not legally allowed to completely remove the doors (with Wrangler being grandfathered in), so that's their solution?

similarities for sure...I mean if you just had two silhouettes for sure, my wife thinks Im Brad Pitt in the dark....differences are in the details...and those are significant...digging that TWO door...Manual trans here I come....would be nice with the 2.7 but Im betting the row your own crowd will be limited with the 2.3, which is all sincerity, given how peppy the Ranger is...is absolutely fine with me...

Since we now know when the bronco will be revealed and that nyias has been cancelled, will we see both the bronco sport and bronco at the same event?

I don't think so. There's already enough confusion between the 2 as it is, revealing them both together won't help that at all.
