Theres still several preproduction phases that have to be done before Job 1, and that's definitely going to slow things down for a bit. It doesn't hurt to be prepared, especially given the fiasco in Chicago.

Of course and whatever happened there must not be repeated at MAP,

if slow and steady is needed for a clean get away then so be it.

It is definitly "two Fords", those primarily for North America and those that are not.

 

Of course if you're in the outside world it's spun differently but head office most

definitly calls it the way I did, Ford cannot afford to keep selling the vehicles it

"Volume products" ? What is the number above which you consider a product to be a "volume product"? Are you in charge of deciding that? Since when? And how do you know that the Bronco and Mach E will not meet that level of sales? Do you already know the level of sales they will have? You say that the Mustang is not a "volume product", but you forget that it is the best selling coupe / convertible in the world. And the Explorer is not a "volume product" either?

Here's the difference though, Explorer can support an entire plant on multiple shifts, Mustang can't which Is why Flat Rock was supposedly on the chopping block until hours before the union agreement was reached.

Volume products, think.......monthly sales of Fiesta, Focus and maybe Transit

now consider that none of those imports you mentioned will sell or even be supplied in those volumes. 

 The imported numbers will be limited to prevent the possibility of price discounting to move them.

They will be imported in small volumes and  when you see their prices, you will understand why.

Trust me I know what I'm talking about here. These vehicles will be priced higher than Edge...Capiche?
