rareairhead
Greetings All from "Balmy" Northern Vermont. Old school VW Bug/Bus fan, father was a Ford man ('30 Model A, '36 Coupe, '51 Mercury, '59 Custom 300, '65 Fairlane, '69 Falcon, and '90 Escort, I purchased an '00 Ranger (rusted out in '10), now own a '10 Chevy Colorado, and am now LOOKING FOR A NEW (or possibly CPO) RANGER. Willing to travel, if needed, but, if I understand correctly, incentives depend on where the vehicle will be registered, which I don't completely understand. Any help, suggestions, tips, etc. will be deeply appreciated. Let the fun begin. ?
akirby
It's pretty simple - your incentives are based on your home zip code, so it's the same no matter where you purchase. You can either have your local dealer do a search for the truck you want in the surrounding area (they can usually trade with the other dealer to get the truck you want if they don't have one in stock) or you can go search yourself using the ford.com dealer inventory search tool. What exactly are you looking for?
HotRunrGuy
I used the zip code for Stowe VT (05672), looks like there may be $1000 available? Have you done a local inventory search yet? https://shop.ford.com/inventory/ranger/results?zipcode=05672&Radius=20 HRG
rareairhead
Thanks for the replies. Just picked up a 2019 brochure last Saturday. Looks like an XLT 4x4 Supercab with 302A, the Sport Package and maybe a tow package is on the shopping list. Not sure about color, but Lightning Blue, Hot Pepper Red, and Saber look interesting. An Ingot Silver may be a better choice as far as winter salt and mud season go, but it might depend on what the availables are. Sounds like it's not worth traveling for incentives, but for the right deal . . . ROADTRIP! (Or is that plane, train, or bus trip?) I'll have to give that inventory link a try. Any suggestions for HIGH VOLUME DEALERS (under the assumption that they might be able to offer better prices than the more rural low volume dealers.)? And lastly, what are the general ideas on Black Friday or something close for a good time to finalize? Thanks again. ?
fuzzymoomoo
Hot pepper red is gorgeous IMO. Get it before it's gone, it's being replaced for 2020.

Here's a trick with the search inventory feature, you can increase the search radius (up to 400 miles I think) by changing the radius value in the web address as shown. Looks like 25 to choose from, with the options/colors you mentioned. https://shop.ford.com/inventory/ranger/results?zipcode=05672&Radius=400&modeltrim=Ranger_F14-XLT&rapidSpecs=302A&SpecialPackage=Sport%3BTrailer_Tow&ExteriorColor=EA%3BN6%3BUX%3BGU&Drive=4x4&Cab=sup_cab&Order=Distance HRG Edited November 7, 2019 by HotRunrGuy

On my laptop, it removes some sorting functions, but it did reveal a few morsels. Looks like there might be some travelin' in my future. Appreciated. ? (Or is that plane, train, or bus trip?) Follow-up to akirby's reply. Incentives are based on your home zip code or where the vehicle will be registered. It doesn't matter what dealership the vehicle is located at.
