Mustang? Really?

Hmmmm is this another step towards planned obsolescence.....?

Battery packs, is there any studies on the cycle rates for these batteries being used? What is the cost of parts and labor for replacement? Then the drive motors themselves, cost for repairs? Will these costs make these units disposable units?

Are these products in a stage of development that like so many products that are just rushed to market without things like research or long term evaluation, just for a piece of the market pie? Oh then like other rushed products will the customer becomes the R&D team....

Battery warranty is 8 years or can't be charged to 70%

My brother in law has 2010 Fusion Hybrid and its still doing well considering its age. He said hes noticed a slight change with it though.

Electric motors have very little wear to them.

There are 2 different battery packs being used ..... there is the Standard parallel Ni-Cad batteries, capable of operating under normal use for over 175,000 miles. Ni-Cad hybrid batteries, however, are much more susceptible to break down when used in extreme environments, particularly when temperatures fall into the negatives. And then there is lithium-ion batteriesPlug-ins and most new hybrid cars typically use these.  They don’t suffer from the same downsides as Ni-Cad............  Ford offers a 8-year warranty or minimum 80,000 miles (whichever comes first) for their "hybrid battery" pack...... also, it depends on temperature ranges, usage, and charging cycles............ New lithium-ion batteries can run anywhere from $1000 to $3000 or higher, excluding the cost of labor. Ni-Cad batteries are slightly cheaper.............. .... Example  is the cost of replacing battery modules in a Tesla Model 3 is about $3000 - $7000, depending on the battery that was installed....... Current batteries on a Tesla 3 are designed to last somewhere between 300,000 - 500,000 miles........ equivalent of 1,500 cycles............
