jcartwright99
Example 900, 876 of why not to buy a first year product out from Ford. I don't think I would buy anything made in that Chicago plant.
92merc
Not sure how many Explorers total have been built, but 3,858 means they are catching the issues fairly early. Not waiting years to figure it out and catch it. 200k F150's is what, a couple of months of builds? So not that bad IMO.
blwnsmoke
Might as well add another half millions superduty trucks.. https://www.bizjournals.com/losangeles/news/2019/12/13/ford-recalling-more-than-500-000-super-duty-pickup.html?ana=yahoo&yptr=yahoo According to a Ford statement, "a front seat belt pretensioner that deploys during a crash can generate excessive sparks. In some cases, this could ignite the carpet or carpet insulation in the area of the B-pillar. A fire in the B-pillar area may spread within the vehicle and increase the risk of injury." Ford said there's been at least one report in the U.S. of a fire related to this condition but added that it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem. The recalled trucks were built at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant from Oct. 8, 2015, to Oct. 29, 2019.

They just had the same recall on the F-

Yes they did, but I think only 2019 and 2020. They must be using the same supplier.
T-dubz
My 2020 explorer has 2k miles on it and it’s already leaking transmission fluid. Took it in to have one recall fixed so I guess they can fix this too.
