Rick1723
I have the 2020 Escape Hybrid Titanium.. and have searched, even though it says it is in the center stack screen , where do you change the colors for the ambient lighting .. I see the icon and in it shows how to intensify the light but nothing about color change.. anyone else have an idea? Rick.
john_688
We picked up our 2020 non-hybrid Titanium 2 weeks ago to replace our 2017 Titanium . The 2017 had a choice of ambient light colors . The 2020 does not seem to give an option to change colors ; only an ice blue color with brightness adjustment . Maybe another Ford cost-cutting measure . But then again, the 2020 comes with so much more features than the 2017 .
PeterC6482
I cannot imagine that limiting the color choice to one would save them any money. Have you checked your owner's manual? Is the selection mechanism still part of the sync screen?
92merc
On my 2013, I set my colors once to a redish color. It's been there ever since. Picking my color isn't a make or break deal for me personally. Just give me some whites, I'm fine.
Rick1723
the owners manual does say about color choice but does not at all show or tell you any place to look for it... maybe I will call ford direct.. at their relationship center.. akirby
On our MkX with sync 3 version 3.0 it’s under Settings -> Ambient lighting. You have to scroll the Settings screen to the right to see it. Edited December 20, 2019 by akirby
john_688
Rick1723 , Which page in the Owners manual does it refer to colors ? Page 471 explains where to change color and intensity ( page 89 ) . However page 89 only refers to turning on and off Ambient Lighting and adjusting the brightness . jimthompsoniii
Question for the Hybrid. Does the AC/HAVC system run off the battery when the engine shuts off at a stoplight, or does the system run off a belt to the engine & shuts down when the engine does as well? fbov
My AC runs when the ICE is off, in the C-max. I expect the same here.
escape20
I picked up my Hybrid escape yesterday and took a look at the A/C compressor. There is no engine driven belt, its hooked up with a orange wire to the High voltage battery, so the engine will not have to run for the AC to work
jasonj80
Ambient lighting could have been decontented, When Ford eliminated the ability to change colors on the 2018 F-150 a bunch of new owners went to the dealer thinking there was something wrong when it had just been eliminated. Total cost savings is probably $1 too. Edited January 7, 2020 by jasonj80
Rick1723
yes... got the answer from ford... they did eliminate the chance to change colors..so we can have any color we want...as long as it is Ice Blue.. after having a Lincoln... gotta say to my new ride...it ain't a Lincoln... still pretty fun to drive and play with... Sagemax
It would have been really nice if Ford gave us the choice of certain colors
