Ford Patents Four Wheel Steering for F-Series

One difference is that GM's system had the wheels on both axles steering in the same direction for lane changes at speeds above something like 20 MPH.  For example, all wheels would turn to the right to go into the right lane.  Only at low speeds would the wheels turn counter to each other like in this video....front wheels to left, right wheels to the right, minimizing turning circle.  I notice that the rear wheels do not turn as sharply because if they did, I think you'd see some rollovers.  Somehow I don't think a lot of drivers could handle the different handling characteristics and the first accident would generate a lawsuit.
