scottfmcc
Here's a strange new problem. The interior lights on my Ex will not fade out when the door is closed. They start to fade, but then come back on immediately. The only way to shut them off while driving is to manually turn them off at the right hand overhead override switch. Also the cargo area light will not go off at all. I had to pry it out of the wall receptacle and disconnect it. Anyone see these issues? I'm only 125 miles in and after the initial brake issues and now this, I may already hate this truck... Thanks!
Captainp4
Any notices on dash about any of the doors being open? Saw something pretty strange on a newer F150 the other day... hood was closed and latched, but apparently wasn't closed hard enough to trip the sensor.. remote start wouldn't work until he opened the hood and slammed it back down because truck thought hood was open. Might not be it, but easy enough to go all the way around and make sure everything is closed all the way.
scottfmcc
No, no open doors. The vehicle is at the dealer. Apparently they had to reprogram an onboard computer (no idea which). Hopefully they really know that that will fix the issue. We shall see!
scottfmcc
No joy to the reprogramming. New Body Control Module on the way for Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
jbrichmond
I had a similar issue. Try closing the door, locking the car (with you inside). Once the screen has gone off and lights should be going off, press the cabin lights button.
