Long time listener, first time caller.

So I recently purchased a 1968 F100 4x4 longbed. I was curious on what, where, when, why, who, and how my truck came to light. I searched all over the web and even called Ford Motor Company about my 11 digit VIN but cant really find anything. Any one on here have any resources?

F11BRC59655

Any help would be appreciated.

This appears to be for Fords. Is there something on the inter webs with how to decode a Lincoln VIN? My Google-Fu has let me down on that.

Edit: Or, is it the same for a Lincoln, since they are all FoMoCo?
