2021 Lincoln Aviator Production Information

Per yesterday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), the following scheduling and production timetable has been released for the 2021MY Lincoln Aviator.

 

  • 04/03/2020 - 2020MY Fleet Final Order Due Date
  • 04/23/2020 - 2020MY Last Day to Spec Change
  • 07/19/2020 - 2020MY Balance Out Date

 

  • 04/13/2020 - 2021MY Order Bank Open Date
  • 05/14/2020 - 2021MY Scheduling Begins
  • 07/27/2020 - 2021MY Job #1 Date

 

The 2021 Lincoln Aviator Order Guide will be available on or about 04/13/2020 when the 2021MY Order Bank opens and will be uploaded to the Order Guides Section as soon as it is available.

From Donlen, Ford Production Updates:

 

2020 Lincoln Aviator  
  • (B6)-Crystal Copper PN4GJ & (FT)- Blue Diamond PN4FT paint final orders due 2/20/2020

 

Did some searching and it looks like Ford Blue/Lincoln Blue Diamond will be replaced by Infinite Blue for the 2021 MY.   Infinite Blue is one of the Mach-E tinted clearcoat color options.

I agree... I think Ford Blue/Lincoln Blue Diamond (code FT) is one of the best shades of blue they have offered since Medium Wedgewood Blue.  Infinite Blue is an extra cost paint that looks to me like it has more silver/grey in it.  They should just add it as another option and keep Blue Diamond.

The first Sync 4 will be introduced in the upcoming F-150 iirc. The Explorer and Aviator got the Sync 3.2 which is new for 2020 for most Ford & Lincoln vehicles and I expect it will be around for at least a couple more years, likely until the mid-cycle refresh until 2023/2024.

The 2021 Aviator Order Bank is due to open on 07/13/2020 as posted above. Don't expect to any advertising for the 2021MY Aviator until the vehicles are in stock and enough of the leftover 2020MY inventory has been sold.

No but the system the dealers use to place orders has all the information and they're the ones that actually place the orders.   The order guide was just posted if you want to see the options.  Pricing should be within a few hundred of the 2020 model.

Adaptive steering is my most used "didn't know I need it" option.  After long days at the hospital, it keeps me centered on the drive home.  On nights I have the Audi, I realize how much that system does for me.  It isn't perfect, but it sure does work well for me.

That’s the lane keep assist - still there.  Adaptive steering changes the steering ratio.  Think of it as being able to shift gears on the steering wheel - 1st gear gives you faster and easier turns at slow speeds while 5th gear makes it more comfortable on the highway with less wheel movement.

 

It was problematic when first introduced on the Edge and MKX.  I’m guessing they’re still seeing problems with it and just deleted it.

Probably not very useful and potentially problematic, better  without. 

 

The monochromatic option is quite attractive, if the price is right. The new convenience package is not attractive any more, the only thing worth to have in the package is HUD.

 Ont eh element plus package,   the" Auto Air Refresh and Auto Heated/Ventilated Driver and Passengers Seats" was added with "Auto" don't know what that means.
