F150 Tremor was meant to be like the old lightning for on the street fun. 

 

F250 Tremor is an off road package.

it was actually first used on a ranger and was an appearance package with an upgraded sound system and subwoofers. I assume they called it “Tremor” because of all the bass it was putting out.

Yep-from the 1990s I think. My dad worked at the Edison plant and has Tremor and Edge stickers on his cabinets in his garage from the Ranger LOL Think he even has Escort stuff on it too-I'll have to check when I go over there.

Actually it adds 94 peak Hp and 215 peak lb/ft over the base 3.0L V6.  The actual added torque and power could be much higher down low.  For example at the V6 is rated 400hp@5500 and 415lbft@3000, while the combined rating for the GT is 494hp@5500 and 630lbft@2250.  Without dyno curves of the V6, it is harder to figure out what the EM is actually capable of.

LSchicago isn't the only person that still values the performance potential and sound of good ole American V8. I'm not knocking any of the current ecoboost offerings from Ford being an owner of one myself and potentially future owner of one in the form of the 2021 Bronco that I hope will at least have the 2.7L Ecoboost offered in it (still pipe dreaming of a V8 offered in that thing...maybe eventually). I feel that the V8 may have more performance potential due to the fact that you can add blower to a stock coyote powered truck and turn that truck into a serious performer, I'm not sure if the stock 2.7L can be boosted to that same level and still stay together but again, I'm not an expert on 2.7L performance mods and potential, please school me if I'm off on my assumptions.

Yep sorry I was looking at the wrong data for the base model.  I think it's safe to assume that adding that motor to any engine would result in an additional 200 lb/ft give or take depending on the torque curve of the ICE.

I've seen a Ford Edge ST with the 2.7L (transverse) with a tune, intake, exhaust and intercooler modifications dyno 545 lb/ft to the rear wheels (which would equate to around 620 lb/ft at the crank.  

 

The 5.0L obviously has a higher potential but it's easier to get silly power from an ecoboost with just a tune and minor mods.

A RCSB 5.0L or a Supercab 3.5LEB is probably just as fast as the old lightning. 

 

If they want to get crazy they could easily put the Supercharged 5.2L into a RCSB with some suspension mods.

Faster probably,, but it wasn't just speed! The old Lightning I believed was lowered (could be wrong though) It also had a unique air valence and fog lights! Ooooh! Hardly a unique feature today hehe, but it was a nice lil package back then. Also had the 125mph Speedo. Oh and unique wheels.  2WD of course. Possibly a graphic package. I was never a big F150 guy so my knowledge is lacking there.

your speaking my language here. Escort and ranger were my first two vehicles and they were both awesome.

Roush and Shelby American have been doing pretty good business with their mod packages. I find it hard to believe that Ford is seeing that and willing to keep leaving money on the table like that...

People with long fingernails will eventually scratch the buttons when twisting the knobs. There should be enough gap between the knobs and buttons for fingers to pass between them.

As the current owner of an 18 Lariat, I'm glad to see they added a physical button for the heated steering wheel.

One thing I'm noticing is the shift indicator lights have returned on the console. Raptor owners were upset when they did away with that sometime during the 18 model year.

That was the Explorer Sport Trac. I wanted to buy one in 03 until I tried one out and realized how narrow they felt. I bought an 03 Supercrew instead.

They were fast for the time, 240 HP if I recall correctly. I bought a 93 new and kept it until 03, the longest I've owned any new vehicle. The only graphics were Lightning written in reflective blue on the cab just back from the doors and a white lightning bolt beneath it.

 The tremor was a ranger, you are probably thinking of the sport trac Adrenalin.
