rmc523
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/03/17/2021-hyundai-elantra-unveiling/ I don't like the origami creases everywhere design. I hate how everyone is putting full width lightbars. Some cars look great with it, but we don't need to plaster it on everything. --- The interior looks nice, aside from the unnecessary grab handle on the center console. I'm trying to figure out what the screen on the left with the circle thing does.
tbone
That is terrible! After some pretty good recent designs by Hyundai, this is a huge miss for me.
92merc
I'll give them some points for style. But it's not my style...
akirby
So they switched from copying Ford to copying Toyota?

fuzzymoomoo
Those door panels are going to be a bitch to stamp
atomcat68
Wait! Is that the Space Force logo stamped on the door? 1
dmpaul
The profile isn't too bad, but the door detailing and grill are not pleasing. Hopefully the Kia version (Forte) looks better. I have tended to like the Kia styling over the Hyundai. I'm paying more attention to other manufacturer's small cars since the demise of the Fiesta/Focus. I've had Escort, Fiesta, Mazda Protege, and Focus as small cheap commuter second cars over a long period. I currently own a 2017 Fiesta that I picked up new for 14k. I'm a little biased against Korean cars since my son had a 2005 Kia Rio. An awful car to drive, but it was cheap and fairly reliable. They have improved immensely though.

atomcat68
If it wasn't for that door styling, it would be somewhat sporty, but somewhat bland. But the car looks damaged with the door creases.
atomcat68
I like the interior though. That's pretty first rate.
jasonj80
Looks like a Civic and a S7 had a baby and it got all the worst parts on the outside; the interior looks nice though.

blwnsmoke
Front and rear look good. Those creases would make me constantly question if I have a dent in the side. And that steering wheel is terrible, it looks HUGE.
snooter
Of course a truck company would hate a car company....this is known...

They are calling the Elantra terrible and not the Escape. OK.....................At least there is some styling element to the Elantra- I will admit it's drastic. However-it's not a "jelly bean on wheels" like the Escape. Edited March 22, 2020 by CKNSLS

I like almost everything about the Elantra, but not the "Space Force" door dent. I like the way the back looks somewhat like the MkZ. I think the Escape is bland, and seeing it in person didn't change my mind. I also am disappointed in the Explorer which looks too much like the old one and has an interior that doesn't match the high price tag.
