That's the second highest percentage of any pickup truck model. Only Nissan Titan, which had a late introduction of the 2020 model, had a higher percentage of 2019s. https://www.iseecars.com/new-car-deals-study And your point is? A lot of factors can cause that. When did they do the model year switchover? When did they stop production for coronavirus? If they produced and shipped 4 2019s before the switchover but coronavirus limitied 2020 MY production to 6 units that were built and shipped, that means 40% of your models on lots are 2019s. Just in time for Memorial Day sales events at dealers, consumers should be able to negotiate good deals on leftover 2019 Rangers. And with so many new Rangers on dealer lots nationwide being 2019s, they shouldn't have any trouble finding them, though availability varies by region. 2020 model year startup for U.S. Ford Ranger took place in November 2019. Shutdown due to Covid-19 took place 3rd week of March. Edited May 24, 2020 by rperez817
jpd80
Let's get away from the BS and misdirection of percentages and talk about real numbers. There's around 4,000 2019 Rangers left, half are Lariat, the rest are equally split between XLT and XL. Considering that inventory had blown out to over 30,000 by December, I think they have done a good job of selling down their 2019 stock, a bit of incentive will help Ford dealers get the job done.
