MadManMoon
At first glance, this looks like it could be an interesting replacement for the Bullitt, but the lack of a Shaker hood in this camo'd prototype has me a little worried...
akirby
Wow. I’ll take press releases that say nothing for $1000 Alex. Its called Mach 1 and will use a 5.0L V8. No other details. SMDH. 3

Trailhiker
Looks like a roll cage inside. I don't think that would be standard, maybe a racing version in the picture??
rmc523
The round outlets in the grille don't look good. Wheels look neat, though.

My guess it's just for the test cars in case the driver makes a mistake or pushes a little too hard.
NLPRacing
Maybe it'll be a performance hybrid?

And there isn’t much room to improve the coyote 5.0 beyond what’s already been done.

coupe3w
The Bullitt Mustang has 480 HP. The twin air intakes in the grill for possible twin turbos. Hummmm.

I don't see how they fit 2 turbos in there. The 5.0 is already a pretty snug fit in there as it is. They would have to get awfully creative with packaging. But that would put it above the GT350 approaching GT500 and they’ve already said it goes between the GT and the Shelbys. I think performance hybrid makes more sense - and I believe that was the initial speculation last year too.
02MustangGT
Hybrid with 5.0 would top the GT350 in most, if not all performance metrics. Also, 2020 is said to be the final model year for the GT350, so it won’t be around when the Mach 1 arrives. The front fenders in the release photos are wider than the standard Mustang, so this will likely be a parts bin car (best of GT PP2 and GT350) with some unique styling bits. Which is exactly why it probably won't be a hybrid, because that would make too much sense.

mackinaw
I'm embarrassed to say I forgot all about the '69 Mach 1. Especially since I drove one back in 1970.
