fordnogoodanymore
Hello new to the forum here. I am on my fourth engine in my 2017 ford escape with the 2.0 turbo engine. My question is this normal for a car that only has 19000 miles on it. I think not. First engine had the internal coolant leak at 19000 miles ford said to replace it with long block , OK next engine had the same problem less than 100 miles down the road Plus transmission failure. Third engine same failure that is 2 brand new engines from ford that have failed ( internal coolant leak ) Help anyone??? This 2.0 is a piece of garbage . Ford tech still cant figure out the transmission issue. I did find a video on you tube showing the flaw in this engine. Not enough material around the block for number 1 and number 2 cylinders. I have been a loyale ford buyer for over 40 years but no more
fordnogoodanymore
Time to look at the Nissan Toyota crap again. Ford is trying to get too much horsepower out of a poorly designed aluminum block. I was hyped on this tech but no more. give me the old tech back that can make it a 100k down the road. fordnogoodanymore
I will never own a new ford again. Older stuff maybe. The brand new 2020 escape that the dealer gave to my wife as a loaner is garbage too. She has been locked out of the car twice while she has had the key fob in her hand The passenger doors will not close and latch until the driver door is opened. If the battery gets anywhere low voltage nothing will work except start and radio. Garbage Garbage. Looks stupid as well the 2017 looks a whole lot better in my opinion
fordnogoodanymore
The 1.5 three cylinder is a dog even with turbo it has a bad clunk between gear change 2 and three. This is the third loaner we have had while my wife's car is being fixed and all these new 2020 cars have the same issues.
