silvrsvt
Someone was asking about how big the Mach E vs other Ford CUV products where....I noticed this: 2020 Escape Length (FWD/AWD) (in.) 180.5/181.3 Yeah its only about 3/4 of an inch, but would the AWD model be ever so slightly larger? Different fascia covers or something?

My initial thought was a difference in the rear floor pan to accommodate the AWD parts but unless I'm mistaken that would require a different body side too and I can't see them stamping out 2 different body sides over .8 of an inch. It has to be fascia which also seems odd to me.
akirby
Would have to be exhaust tips or something in the front bumper/fascia for cooling.
jpd80
Could it just be the FWD models sit a little nose down bum up and the AWDs are more level? Maybe that allows bits of the front and rear to stick out a bit further... Edited June 23, 2020 by jpd80
T-dubz
That is strange. I looked at ford’s other vehicles and their lengths were the same regardless of drivetrain. It has to be something like the exhaust tip that akirby mentioned.
CoolScoop
Could be a different rear bumper cover for trailer hitch: Engine: 2.0L EcoBoost® with Auto Start-Stop Technology and SelectShift® with Paddle Shifters ● Transmission: 8-Speed Automatic Note: Requires AWD (U9J) Note: Includes Class II Trailer Tow Package
J-150
Maybe the exhaust is re-routed on the AWD, with a slightly longer bumper to accommodate.
