blwnsmoke
Holy crap.. for a Jeep.. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/12/30/jeep-wrangler-392-pricing-rumor/?ncid=edlinkusauto00000016&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cDovL20uZmFjZWJvb2suY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAC0eL2BWH97tQNtRKQQc-S1WqLOago4o6tDjo9nGjhQSfVZV0NKvHEDH4Km4BeFA4-5vl5JqPQlTHPvTZCZL32rKJaupgKJXMa6_tjPGCXdXByZ9-fPEX_QuR9msalQt3Ihn3UrRbC2PZ39wNxTqV_I0AwSekYNeZX7fl0Cski8D " The Hemi-powered 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 appears as though it will be priced in the mid-$70,000 range, we learned early Wednesday, commanding a premium of nearly $30,000 over an equivalently optioned Rubicon with the 3.6L V6. A future owner on JLWranglerForums.com shared a screenshot of his 2021 Rubicon 392 build in Jeep's VIN tracking system showing a price of $77,055. While it was labeled in the interface as a Wrangler Unlimited Sport model (the base four-door trim), he says that the "27X" order code is for the 392 package. FR739
I mean $70k Jeep’s are nothing new. The best part is they will sell them as fast as they can make em which is wonderful because they are just so cool.
OX1
I read through that thread on that Jeep board and some were saying that may not be the real price. As in people have had a price shown to them in the same manner, but it ended up not being correct. I stopped reading there, as it's 11 pages long. Maybe it was confirmed somehow later on. "Unless you’re a dealer (who just joined this forum this month,) there’s one question that needs answered before I believe your leaked pricing: what system did you supposedly use to “check” your order? Even the VOTS isn’t available as no 392s have been assigned to customers outside of the dealership designation. That screenshot is not from the dealer OOS - so what is it? Second, every dealer allotment has the vehicle listed as a Rubicon base, not a sport. So this whole post is fishy." https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/my-392-rubicon-order-is-showing-a-price-now-77k.63524/page-
probowler
I guess it makes sense to offer this type of vehicle in that price range because you know there will be buyers, so if you can justify the development costs it makes sense. Just wish there was a more affordable V8 option for us off-road enthusiasts ?

Quote The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 will arrive in dealerships by the end of spring, and it will initially be available only in this fully equipped trim. We expect cheaper models to be available later this year. So, we have to wait to find out what the regular ones will cost. Edit: Update topic name to reflect updated info. .I.
With that money you can buy a base Bronco and a mid level Bronco Sport.
probowler
Excited to hear more about those cheaper models. Don't particularly want a jeep myself, but I hope it's successful

The Bronco Launch Edition started at $60k. Throw in a 470hp V8, a factory lift and whatever other goodies and that certainly isn't far off. Again, there will be cheaper versions of the V8 after the Launch Edition just like there are plenty of cheaper Broncos. This isn't any different.

It is a $800 cost difference between the 2.7 and the 5.0. add in a few thousand for suspension (doubt it's that high for an upgrade) and you are far from the 10k you mention let alone the $15k difference in price. Since when does the Bronco offer a 5.0? Let alone a 470hp one? Using that comparison, the Raptor should only cost a few thousand more than a 2.7L F-150, right? Add in a couple thousand for the unique body panels and we shouldn't be at the premium it currently has over a normal F-150. Apples to Apples. Wait to see what the normal models cost before blowing your top. Edited February 26, 2021 by Anthony

Wait to see what the normal models cost before blowing your top. It isn't really hard to follow along. You said the Launch addition is $60k. You said throw in a 470hp v8 (Ford has 460-480hp 5.0 v8 options in their lineup (not bronco but Ford lineup) and the 5.0 is only a $800 upcharge in the f150 from the 2.7. So the v8 would be around a $800 upcharge for the same 2.7 to 5.0. So you are talking $61k compared to $75k less a suspension upgrade which at most would be a few thousand. No top being blown. I've been in jeeps, I have driven them (one in the family) and there is nothing worth anywhere near $75k in them.
