The widge Posted January 3, 2021 Share Posted January 3, 2021 Hopefully someone can help me out here, was notified my order hung up when adding power running boards to my lariat f250 order. I ordered with ultimate package and black appearance package. They said I could not order power running boards with black appearance package tho I ordered ultimate package which is necessary for power running boards. They are only $1000 if ordered but $2000 if ordered after build. Makes no since. Can someone advise if this is true Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sportscraft Posted January 3, 2021 Share Posted January 3, 2021 It did the same thing to me on my 2017 only it was the chrome package. For whatever reason Ford will not allow you to order the chrome package with power boards and still hasn't changed that. My thought was I could just add the boards through the Ford accessory department but I don't believe this ever happened. Instead you have to order the amp research, but they have to plug into your OBD port and are not controlled through the dash like factory boards. Plus once you have the truck its just hard to cough up the $2000. I'm not sure what all is included in the black out package, but overall I wish I had gone with the power boards then I could have just added the chrome mirror caps.
