Kranger84
Seen some posts stating that Avon Lake is losing the $900 million investment awarded at contract, anyone able to confirm? Some info is coming directly from the union. Edited January 26, 2021 by Kranger84

Footballfan
Perhaps OHAP will get some HD pickup production considering all of the truck plants are running full blast. GM just reopened a plant in Oshawa Ontario for the same reason.

cal50
Letter floating around that Ford officially pulled / withdrawn the OHAP commitment of 900 million as was part of the last UAW contract. We no longer have an "America 1st" advocate and that 900 mil commitment is going to Mexico. Footballfan
Did anyone ever determine what this new Avon Lake product was supposed to be?
forddd
Didn’t Ford announce a big investment for Flat Rock in 2019 and then pull it? I think it was 850 million to build EVs there. Not sure how political this move is if the same thing happened under two different presidents.

Twice Flat Rock was supposed to get a new pair t shop and it was cancelled. Oh well, I guess they have to pay for their choo-choo train station project up the road. cal50
I never heard of an official OHAP program that was suppose to be sourced. Maybe in the next contract in a couple years.................lol
Decker
55 days in office or the basement and all the socialist promises are coming true... Ford didn`t waste any time realizing the bad orange man is gone and the real tuff guy was back. Hey maybe Russia will start building 611`s & 625`s? F250`s from that big Ford plant in Venazuela (<--umm kinda) Transit's from? But wait the IUAW won`t let that happen without a fight. Until we all go out on strike the IUAW will need another half hour of due`s to build up their golf outing/equipment fund.

No fight whatsoever when plants were being closed right and left. It seems this last UAW contract was shoved down memberships' throats.
