I won't be surprised if a hybrid/(2.7?)Powerboost debuts with the new Ranger, and makes its way to the Bronco for its refresh (presumably 2024-5 if on a 3 year cycle?).  Wonder if that's what opens up Bronco to global consumption too?

the powerboost in the F150 has had absolutely unreal response from those that have driven it, 2.7 powerboost in this and maybe the Warthog makes perfect sense.

Arguably, there's already a "3.0 Powerboost" in the PHEV Explorer/Aviator.

Ford really has an embarrassment of riches to choose from.

Weird that it had a DOT number. Aren't those only for commercial vehicles?

You need a DOT number if you plan to do one of the following:

  • Drive a commercial vehicle on interstate routes
  • Use vehicles that weigh more than 10,000 pounds
  • Transport nine to 15 passengers for compensation
  • Transport 16 or more passengers without compensation
  • Transport hazardous materials

So obviously, we are looking at a prototype of Bronco Club Wagon, not Warthog.  Under the camo, there is room for 16...

Extra fuel tank?  Maybe some anti-Jeep missiles  ?  How long before someone looks up the DOT number?
