This thing reminds me of motorhomes that take headlights and taillights from random cars and use them.   The headlights and taillights here look like they were just taken from another car and thrown on.  They're not cohesive at all.   Just don't understand why this split headlight design is a thing.

Its the sake of being different...there is only so much you can do with a 2 box vehicle without impeding on the interior space of it. It even has that ugly eyelash detail on the D pillar that has become popular.

If you don't like the split headlight thing, you are gonna hate Ford's new design language that debuted on the Equator.

The thing is that Ford isn't making the upper headlights smaller then the lower head hights like on this or the older Cherokee.

The Equator lights look like foglights.

Ford's is a better implementation, though.  While I still don't love it, it doesn't look like they took the headlights off of their normal spot and put them in the middle of the bumper instead.

Chevy has some of the best split headlights implementations I've seen out there - as silver said, it's when they look more like fog lights that it works better.
