Very impressive, you are very lucky FordBuyer sir! Newly introduced or redesigned, 1st model year Ford vehicles tend to be rattletraps.

One area that is annoying is problem with getting back up camera replaced. Ford won't ship part until dealer requests, and dealer says it's on back order, and will be at least end of March wait.

RPEREZ.....Have you seen Raiti's Ride review of Mach E? I was impressed with its road manners. Very impressive BEV. Makes the Bolt and Leaf look like kiddie cars.

We had a 81 accord, 88 civic and 90 accord.  They were all bulletproof.  In Ga.

Not in MI. My wife had an early 80's Accord and after about 5 winters the floor boards were rusted out so that you could see the street under your feet in spots. Also, the fuel tank rusted out which Honda replaced for free out of warranty which was nice of them. Needless to say, I sold it for her and got her a new Escort GT which she loved.

I sense a pattern here.  But, to mess with it, I’ll throw in my coworkers late 80’s accords...  NC had an actual tail pipe inspection for emissions in the mid ‘90s.  All the Honda owners knew the place to go for the inspection.  Car would first be tuned to pass the inspection and then retuned for drivability.  Honda hung on to carburetors too long.

Of course, I was told my Ford would never pass and should prepare for a major expense to get it compliant.  The ‘89 SHO I had passed with no problems.  One year they tested it twice because the readings were so low the tech thought he measured it wrong.

Nice sweeping generalization.  Our 2020 Explorer and Escape are not rattle traps, and I am highly critical of rattles and noises in my vehicles.

Aviator is fine also.  Chicago screwed a couple of them together correctly anyway.

Thank you FordBuyer sir, I just checked out the Raiti's Rides video. Great video, great vehicle. Probably the best video review so far of a retail (not press fleet) Mustang Mach-E.

I created a topic on the Mach E Forum on this site with the video if anyone's interested.

You’re not really going to use the Explorer and Aviator as examples of a 1st year vehicle done correctly are you?  It was an unmitigated disaster resulting in many vehicles being destroyed because they could not be fixed.....immediately after being built.  Thankfully they got the worst of it under control but issues still persist.

And speaking of 1st year vehicles, the BS has been recalled again (just 106 vehicles though).

I’m not sure what’s better.  A couple recalls that affect many vehicles or numerous recalls that affect a few hundred to a few thousand vehicles.   Either way, good thing this one is very small.

He stated 1st year models tend to be rattle traps. I have two first year models and they are not rattle traps.  I did not say anything about them being engineered perfectly or weather their launch was perfect.
