And there is no long term future for this brand at least in this country. Volvo has become another irrelevant crap brand. Nothing special anymore. That would be true if Volvo Cars did not make a commitment to a vehicle lineup that is 100% electric. The Volvo brand has achieved pretty strong growth in the U.S. market. In 2019, they exceeded 100k sales for the first time since 2007, and actually increased sales even more past the 110k mark in 2020 despite the Covid-19 situation. Far from being "another irrelevant crap brand", Volvo Cars is the only automotive brand in the U.S. that offers distinctly Scandinavian designs. Their commitment to get out of the ICE age suggests they intend to serve U.S. customers for the long haul.
