What the dealer is installing is the B&W gooseneck hitch.  I had one installed on my 2017 F250 and loved it.  My understanding is you need the "5th wheel prep" package and the gooseneck parts for the complete factory installation to tow gooseneck trailers which is what I need.  I will not be using a 5th wheel hitch.  Anyway the cost difference for the B&W gooseneck hitch and the RhinoLiner is about $500 more than the factory installed 5th wheel prep package, gooseneck parts, and spray-in liner. At least that is based on the price I was quoted at this time.

Ice, I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the advice and information you provide. Really appreciate it.

The prep kit is the support and mouting points under the bed. Along with the wiring connections. It is required to use any of the gooseneck or fifth wheel attachments.

The gooseneck kit is just the ball and saftey chain points that connect to the fifth wheel prep support.

I have a question regarding my order for F250 Tremor. My dealership offered to delete the spray in bed liner in hopes to get the vehicle scheduled for production. Some one on this forum made me realize that the liner was part of the Lariat Black Out package. How will they handle that will they have to delete the whole package or will they just remove the liner and give me a credit.

If they remove your liner and you still have the black out pack. Find out how they did it so I can get my truck scheduled too!

My dealer said you can’t remove the liner without the whole blackout package so I opted to leave it and hope for the best. I now I have a VIN number and I’m scheduled for the second week of January so we will see.

Hello all, my F-350 went into production on 12/13 after several reschedules and shows a to dealer delivery date of 12/31. My dealer said they are tracking it should arrive between 12/27 and 1/13, which fits what Ford tracking is showing.
My question is it still doesn’t show built, just the "in production date". What are the odds it will actually arrives by 1/13???? Trying to time the selling of my current truck….

Tried to pull a screen shot, but now the tracker seems to be down.

I am in a very similar situation. My truck went into production on 12/2 and was built on 12/10. The 'tracker' still says in production with a 12/11 date and an ETA of 12/31. VVR says offsite chip hold with an ETA of 12/25 to 12/30.  I don't think the tracker is accurate nor do I expect my tuck before February at this point.  I am also struggling deciding what to do about selling my current truck.

So my truck on the tracking website has gone from a delivery ETA of 12/18 to delivered...to 12/24....to 12/25...back to delivered and now won't load...and dealer has seen nothing lol.  I may have stumbled into a pickle.

I’ll bet they get you actually delivered this week. My dealer got notified the morning of that it was loaded on the car hauler for delivery that afternoon. Post up some of that truck porn when you get it. Also finished installing S&B air box today.

My dated went form 1/8 to 12/31 to 1/1 to TBD for delivery. I think I'm in the chip shortage of things.

Looks like mines held up for chip shortage. The ETA is still the same. The dealer said its built, but waiting on the chip.

I wonder what chip they need... I'll find it and over pay for it on ebay and have it shipped to them ???

Will do.  I got it and instantly took it up here to Colorado...have about 700 miles on it now and it drives great and not much different from my f350 saw.  Will get some pics and throw them up in a day or two.  Just shy of 8 weeks from order to delivery.

I think you and I are in the same boat. Mine was also supposed to be built the week of the 13th, but still shows in production. The way I understand it, until our Vehicle Order Tracking shows that it's actually been built, then it hasn't been built yet. The bad part is if I interpreted the production schedule properly, the Kentucky plant will be closed for the next two weeks for the holidays. So we are screwed until after the first of the year.

I somehow got the tracker to work this morning after a few tries and noted that there is now a date of 12/19/2021 under "In Production".  That means it is actually on the line at the factory, right?

I am new to this whole buying a vehicle from the factory thing.

After a full week (since 12/13) of the tracking app saying ‘in production’, I decided to ping the dealership and ask for an update, I also mentioned that mostly I’d just like  to see the anti-matter blue F250 that recently arrived since I hadn’t ever seen one in the wild.   My sales person says: sure, no problem come on by.  He also tells me he’s checked the tracking link and it says ‘in production’.  Once there I asked for an update from his ‘internal system’ . He tells me it doesn’t provide any detailed info until it’s on a rail car.   At that point I tell him I’ve actually seen examples from their Vehicle Visibility Report that show the vehicle’s more detailed disposition,   After a long silent pause I’m told: well, yes but the person who can look that up isn’t working today.

While still standing there someone else apparently calls complaining that the tracking app says their VIN is invalid.  Then I watch two sales employees argue over who’s responsibility it is to look it up on VVR because it’s not ‘their’ customer.  Seems like asking someone to use that system is like  pulling teeth. So I just left completely disappointed that I had even bothered to swing by.

On a side note - anti matter blue is waaaaay waaaaay darker in person than it is on the configuration tool ☹️.  Wish I had done more research and found this forum earlier, especially the anti matter blue thread.

I was able to see the Antimatter Blue in person prior to order. Sunlight has a lot to do with how the color looks. It can be Black looking or you can see the blue in certain angles and lighting. Wife and I really like the color but decided that it needed the two tone to help bring out its color.
