Decker
Whats the total 5 or 6 plant managers in the last 3 or 4 years? How many departments without LL5 managers? Process Coaches, Process Engineers etc etc have left for Tesla since the first of the year? How many are selling there souls for a transfer? Pandemic or epidemic what ever you want to call it at CAP isn`t the rona? It`s FMLA - file for unemployment while still coming into the plant - medical leave for what you might have etc etc... YEEE HAAA lets open another facility toooo inspect units instead of fixing the root cause of the defects, then wonder why so many units get the system damage from diving them to and from three different make believe facilities... Oh Oh Oh whats the number of senior process coaches, process engineers, LL6`s, ME`s and LL5`s that... have no back ground or experience in the position they`ve been given other than the cooperate push for inclusion??? 6000 plus hourly employees being managed by the easiest played managers I`ve ever seen. Oh stop it there`s no crying in manufacturing Edited March 17, 2021 by Decker
Decker
“The chip shortage itself is rooted in the early weeks of the pandemic last spring (March 2020) when all the automakers largely shut down, then stopped shipments of the microchips. When this occurred the microchip suppliers producing microchips for automakers, which were held as priority over other customers, the chip suppliers turned their capacities in the direction of computer manufacturing and gaming console manufacturers.” Sounds like good planning (again) or we didn’t have room to stockpile the chips with all the other inbound assembly parts. That would be needed for all current orders. enjoy the time off

cal50
Henry had the right idea , build all of it here and sell it here. Subbing out lots parts of the vehicle you put together from suppliers parts and then slapping a logo in it is a crap shoot.
