Visteon Retired Posted March 27, 2021 Share Posted March 27, 2021 My 2020 Explorer Platinum has chrome plating separation on both front door window switch assemblies. The plating is sharp like a razors edge to touch and sticking straight up. I assume plating plastic is difficult but this failure is unacceptable at 3700 miles. I’ll be returning to the dealership again. This vehicle has already required more trips for repairs then my last 5 Explorers combined. Last new one for me. tbone Posted March 28, 2021 Share Posted March 28, 2021 It appears to be an ongoing problem for Ford, that needs a new solution. I have and Explorer and an Escape that has the issue.
