Gvwr package ordering f350

So......what do you get if you don't choose either? Apparently you get 11,900.

 

Are there any other choices?

 

The 11900 worked for me because insurance agent asked me if the gvwr was less than 12000....( I was told "good, because 12k and up you would have to insure it as Commercial")

The default on a F350 6.7 is 12,400, unless a package changes it.

I think it depends on your truck configuration as well. My F350 STX supercab short box 4x4 7.3 came up as 11,300 GVWR before I selected the 10k derate pkg.

I agree. The 2022 F350 XLT CCSB 7.3 4x2 I ordered has a 10,700 GVWR.

Ok...got it? so every little option you add to the truck or take away on your configuration that adds or subtracts down to a couple hundred pounds of g v w r (well...for certain relevant items)

Actually that isn't correct. Engine, transmission, body configuration and load carrying options set the GVWR. What you are talking about is the payload rating. Other options add or take away from the payload sticker rating. GVWR minus the actual weight of the truck gives you the payload rating. Generally the more options the less payload, GVWR doesn't fluctuate based on the vehicle weight.

I ordered the dually..... default is 14,000#  Also got the 4:10 transmission.
