Nothing makes any sense.  Absolutely NOTHING!

Pentagon under under current administration totally botches a withdrawal.  How can it not be SOP to destroy or evacuate equipment?  How can  it not be SOP to get civilians out before troops?  WHY ARE THE EVACUEES ONLY 5% American and the rest Afgan nationals?  Special fighting forces begging to be sent in to help only to be silenced by the military and big tech.  Gov't warns Americans to go home and shelter in place, then 12 hours later a bombing - like they are inside with enemy on what is going to happen next? - WTF???  A certain world leader fumbling over words at the White House WNBA celebration all but actually saying the VP will be POTUS soon.  Government forcing gene therapy on people that are NOT sick, or have been sick and recovered.  A certain person second in command telling people to buy Christmas presents now - what on earth are they planning in the way of tyranny in the next 90 days?  Aussies already under Martial Law - Martial Law is crime against humanity!  In a free country like Australia!!

Food shortages, chip shortages, TP again next - NOTHING MAKES ANY SENSE!!!

Oder's have been given, "Retrograde"

Entering retrograde proves that our withdrawal did indeed open the door for the multiple terrorist groups to re-establish themselves in Afghanistan.  The “over the horizon” capabilities haven`t been called into action even to protect the troops and civilians we have on the ground at the airport?  It’s a disaster on every level, including for those who end up stuck in Afghanistan and have a high likely hood of becoming pawns in this complete failure.

I believe it’s fair to say that this has been made into one of the worst foreign policy failures we’ve ever seen with American evolvement. Americans civilian are still in danger and this, unfortunately, isn’t close to over.

Our military has been doing the best they can under the circumstances, with hands tied.

Pray for those injured and killed. - - - someone with a pair of them... please release our special ops

It was recently stated, making it completely clear to the Taliban that “any attack” – “any attack” on our forces or any disruption of our operations will be met with a swift and forceful response."

I`m praying that this to was not just in passing conversation.

Condolences to the service members families. Also to the numerous Afghan nationals killed and wounded.

On a Ford related note, return to mask mandate in Illinois and hints of further restrictions. Farley has stated absenteeism is upwards of 20%. Our competition  has not stated their rates. With recommendation of avoiding large gatherings, how will this affect motivation of employees? Will the Federal Government extend "no excuses" unemployment? Some experts claim unemployment plays no role in a business  ability to attract and retain workers. Those with "boots on the ground" and common sense claim just the reverse. In so many ways the other shoe seems to be dropping. Phase II of a long geopolitical struggle, and Phase II of a pandemic that has affected ability/need to travel, ability to get supplies and a direct impact on Ford. Hope we can be more nimble than our competition and remain safe.

In a matter of two short weeks our country will mark the date of a very painful day in history. There will be speeches and there will be remembrances spoke of all in the honoring of those that were taken from us.

But, on this day there will be missed opportunities for some who envisioned this day of remembrance to be turned into a day of self centered benefit. The planners of the self gratification or those seeking their "look what I just ended" day, had only the self centered intentions by moving their planned day of self benefits to the same day of such pain in our country's history.

Eight short months have shown the truth that so many misunderstood and/or were deceived of. Today there are now more names to be added to the remembrance services for no other reason than the planners of a self center agenda miscalculated our enemy. Today more gave the ultimate in service to us then in the last two years with this yet another miscalculation. How many more miscalculation can we afford?

When an armed group of hostiles gets their hands-on current issue American-made weaponry, in the eyes of other groups of hostiles it's a status symbol. Not only a psychological win but the ability to trade or sell some of the status symbols.

There is one group of hostiles that now have more Black Hawk helicopters than 85 percent of the countries in the world. The hostiles have no short list of other hostiles that would do or give anything to have just one of our old UH55`s, we gifted UH60`s. Is there any idea what the possible deployment effects of one UH60 these groups of hostiles could put on their neighbors?

Being under a gifting mindset maybe all our extra wall building ordinance that we don`t need could be gifted to Turkey? Seems that NATO member is putting up a wall to hold out escaping neighbors.

Will the day come that American`s can recoup the lost respect and admiration of the world`s population? Is the feeling of being the best we can be, gone forever?

The opinions expressed here in are of AMERICAN VET`s and do not necessarily represent the views and/or opinions of "all" viewers of the Blue Oval Forums.

If there are BOF viewers that view these opinions with weakened feelings of true American Patriotism, please use caution viewing.

“One former SEAL who participated complained to ABC “that our own government didn’t do this. We did what we should do, as Americans.” Another retired SEAL said of an Afghan veteran who refused to abandon his family and eventually led them all to safety, “Leaving a man behind is not in our SEAL ethos. Many Afghans have a stronger vision of our democratic values than many Americans do.”

On a Ford note;  from the news pictures, it looks like the US Taxpayers outfitted the Afgan Army with some really nice Ford Ranger tactical trucks, only to be abandoned and left now in the hands of the Taliban to use against our efforts.  Oh how I hate to see that Blue Oval logo being used against American operations.

I`m sure, the majority of Ford employee`s see it, daily if not hourly in their plants. It reflects as a mirror of the same issues we see all around us everyday. Ford, Local, State and Federal level leadership has been so watered down with every other cause and all of the inclusiveness, rainbow ideology and the mindset of anyone can be a leader that our so call, promoted or assigned leadership is at a complete lost situation. This lost and/or incompetency in leadership ranks is slowly putting in place a very negative reaction. In our plant CAP it manifests every start up. Those playing the system don`t show up and those that do are rewarded for their years of service by being made to preform operations they seldom do and in some cases never have done. This then puts in place the moral that our leadership can`t figure out why the dedicated employee`s feel so screwed. This feeling is echoed through the first level of authority, Process Coaches. Their constant dam if they do and dammed if they don`t puts in place the same level of moral as the grunts.

Why I state the reflection in our plants is that of the leadership we see all around us is because, if one is just coherent and takes in multiple views of information and one will see and hear for ones self just how the leadership in the local, state and federal levels of leadership is a clear reflection of our plant leadership.

Example, be it any level of grunt on the plant floor, brings a suggestion for anything positive, backed with years of experience to the plant leadership and in most if not all cases the suggestion will be evaluated on the bases of who is making the suggestion, what their gender is, what group they identify with and/or if it will benefit the leadership in a personal manner/benefit.

Reflection: Be it any level of grunt with boots on the ground, brings a suggestion for any positive and life saving situation, backed with years of active duty to the operations leadership and most if not all cases the suggestion will be evaluated on the bases of who is presenting the suggestion, what their gender is, what group they identify with and/or if the suggestion will benefit those leaders with the stars in a personal manner/benefit.

As in our plant we see everyday the results of this all inclusive minded leadership is a reflection of what coherent members of both groups of grunts see manifesting all around us.

Good luck & thank you, Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Schiller.

Passing on different views and multiple forms of information to those Ford employee`s without any judgement or prejudicial stance, taken.

I will express one opinionated question, will our woke leaning cooperate leaders at Ford lower the American Flags at their facilities for the loss America has suffered?

Once again, just passing along a different point of view of world events from a Retired Col., his views may coincide with other union member on this site but, his opinions are his and do not reflect the opinion of the BOF or any liberal mindset, strongly compassionate union members of our strongly represented union.

Please use caution, viewing the Col.`s writing it may cause rapid heartbeat and/or dizziness for some strongly compassionate hearts. In the event there is a strongly liberal mind involved please consider not reading the Retied Col.`s post. In the event there are medical results from the reading of the post please seek medical resources.

“They (<--deliberately generalized to protect the compassionate individuals) thought that mean tweets and dating Playboy models was so outrageously awful that they needed to exchange him for a half-wit plagiarist with busy hands and a slothful mind. He was no prize before he put the “d” in “dementia.” Prior to allegedly being elected president, (<-- once again the Col`s opinion -->)  this dork was, as D*****crat R****t G***s famously put it, “wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades." The same genius who thought capping Bin Ladin was a bad idea also thought ditching Bagram was a good one.”

Purely an exchange of current events through the eyes of Retired Col. K. Schlichter. With the sole purpose to generate thought in the minds of IUAW union member.

Perceived weakness by a challenger much less an enemy will put in motion actions to make clear those perceived weaknesses are fact. There will be no need for advisories to take such actions if the dominant country in the world arena proves the weakness in a rather short span of time.

I remember the photo op’s when it was being said CAP was going to save the company with the start of the build of the Taurus. Then the photo op’s for the first Lincoln built at CAP. Of course the photo op’s for the next generation Explorer.
But then a would be and hoped for photo op on 11 Sept. 2021? Really, a high price to pay for the hoped for photo op, then completely miss that planned pat on the back opportunity with such disregard for Americans and those so in need to be in America.

Honestly and compassion has never been so buried as with this attempted photo op.

Yea they used to favor Toyota trucks. I can remember some joke e-mails with their logo prominently displayed with a big 50 cal in the bed. Not happy at all that the switched brands!

Many pictures of US military equipment including Ford Ranger trucks left behind. More recently pictures have surfaced of US military equipment rendered unrepairable by US troops as they departed. No question in my mind our armed forces followed their training and orders to the best of their ability in the chaotic last day at Kabul airport. Don't think the same can be said for the former Afghan regime military.

The perception of any Ford product can and has done one of two things or both. The perception that a product is loaded with problems or issues will cause Ford issues and the production teams issues also. We all remember these perception issues and the down time that occurred.

Of course perception has different levels from the unmeant view of a subject or not clearly understood facts, to the muddled up descriptions of falsehoods that are realistically the covering up of lies. In manufacturing we see the first levels of perception in our products regularly.  The other levels of perception where muddling of falsehoods and the deliberate camouflaging of lies falls regularly into the applications of politicians.

Perception can and dose sway people thoughts and in a lot of cases perception can and has put in place a herd mentality.  We have leaders that use the perception of their actions, decisions and the results of, to under score the facts the leaders wish to muddle up. Unfortunately for our leaders in this day and age most muddling is exposed way quicker than years ago.
