rperez817
General Motors is expected to do its official debut of refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado this afternoon. I think it's scheduled for 4 PM Eastern. Don't know if BEV Silverado will be shown today though. For now, here is a leaked video that goes over interior details and trim levels. Anthony
I just watched it, from the video: New frontend styling which keeps the same basic shapes New Silverado ZR2 offroad model Completely new interior (actually looks nice) 13.9" center screen and 12" instrument cluster Super Cruise hands-free driver assist (and will work with trailering) OTA updates Engine updates w/ 2.7L turbo
jasonj80
The people I know at GM have said this. The updated interior is an improvement from what was there; however material choices are sub par to both Ford and RAM. It is typical GM keeping existing customers happy but not targeting new ones. That's the strategy used by Ford, Toyota, and Nissan for their full size LD pickup trucks too. Only Stellantis' RAM 1500 has been successful in getting a large base of "conquest" customers. Ford innovates to stay at the top, they also are allowed to do things on the F-series that other programs in Ford (short of the Mach-E) wouldn't be able to do. It is like the GM Full Size SUV programs, Grand Cherokee or Camry (up until few years ago) and now RAV4. The programs get 99.9% of what they ask for.

rmc523
The new front end looks more like the SUVs. The interior is so much better, it actually looks nice - can't comment on materials as someone said above, though.
jcartwright99
The interior looks really good. Surprised as that is usually where they fail.
NLPRacing
This seems to improve on many of the current model's shortcomings.

Not shocking that they'd split the Silverado and EV announcements - naturally the EV would overshadow the regular refresh as far as attention goes.

DeluxeStang
So they've seen the relatively high demand for performance off-road oriented trucks, and the decent amount of revenue that can be made by selling them. Yet they still won't go all in on a raptor or trx rival? Instead giving us a mildly tweaked Silverado, slapping the zr2 badge on it, and saying good enough. Unlike Ford that can sell 90k pickups the Chevrolet brand just can’t command those prices. I can say a few like that Hummer was brought back and others think they should have stuck to GMC and focused on a powertrain for the full line like Ford did. Long term it just builds the brand even more. They say resources are being wasted building a brand again as come late decade electric are more common and will be a powertrain option. The Hummer name for others has a presence like no other and can finance the program. There is however seems to be some pretty major issues right now with the GM batteries.

T-dubz
That ZR2 looks really nice, although I’m not a fan of the other trims. Interior looks nice. Hard to decide which one I like better, Ford or Chevy. I like the design and switch gear of the Chevy, but the screen on the Ford seems more useful. Quite frankly-it doesn't look like they need a Raptor competitor. It looks like the "Trail Boss Custom Trim" is already selling well-and this should do even better. BoomerSooner
Given the rest of the interior design, I'm left to wonder why they couldn't make the steering wheel square, too.

They didn't waste any time, running a commercial for it early in the Thursday Night Football game last night, with Chase Elliot and others,,,, HRG

Power Kid
If they any good at marketing they will sell this to the gm diehards for 6-8 months, then the raptor level (not raptor r) model will appear. Amd they'll all buy that one. But as conservative as gm is who knows....
Anthony
Some higher-quality interior shots.
