akirby
Even at much lower speeds, Teknikens Värld says the Mach-E (which boasts the highest carrying capacity and was therefore loaded with more weight than the rest of the vehicles tested in this quartet)
GearheadGrrrl
I would have expected the Mach E to do much better- The extra weight carried may explain the oversteer.
akirby
They should have tested all of them with just 1 or 2 passengers since that’s probably the normal driving mode. (in addition to fully loaded). Edited October 1, 2021 by akirby
Willwll313wll
I suspect that the Mach E is tuned to have a looser rear end, to be able to thrown around a corner a bit more... He says the computers aren't aggressive enough, which is the thing that people in these cars who are out to have fun complain about, a too aggressive traction or stability control system... Just my opinion. Interesting test though.
jpd80
As Maxwell Smart would say, “The old Swedish Moose Test”. any modern, heavy utility is going to handle like a bucket of shit in a panic situation, weight and stability control is going to resist violent changes in direction.
