Blackdiamond925
My F350 has finally arrived and is ready to pick up. A couple problems though. The factory winch hasn't arrived, nor has the TPMS trailer kit, which is supposed to ship separately. I'm told the winch ships from a third party, so they don't actually know where it is or when it will arrive. Both options are on the window sticker, so I'm essentially going to to need to buy the vehicle with some sort of rider stating we're waiting on these two things. The good news is they're only charging a couple hours of labor for the winch. Sound a bit weird?
Glliles
Not in today’s world. Seems about anything goes.

gjones1081
Obviously ford doesn't make the winches but the trailer kit seems strange. I ordered my trailer kit from the dealer and it arrived in less than a week.
Ford truck guy
back in 2020 MY F350 was delivered without the TPMS for trailers.... It took about a month for the dealer to get it.
Blackdiamond925
I bought the truck. They gave me a form entitled "GET READY INSTRUCTIONS," listing the missing items to come in later. Apparently they use this for missing parts or even damages.
bshort
My truck was damaged upon delivery and missing a part. Told 14 days for everything to arrive....it's been 55 days and no eta. Dealer blames Ford, Ford plays stupid (I don't think they're actually playing though). I'd be asking for free labor on that winch.
akirby
Don’t underestimate Ford’s inability to manage things like this. Their systems and processes are setup to build new vehicles en masse and ship them right away. When abnormal things happen the process breaks down. Also - sometimes the dealer is at fault but won’t admit it.
Specialkaye
I thought as a “dealer installed option” it would include the install labor in the price?

Dealer Installed Options ordered as part of a customer's retail factory order include installation. The Dealer has no business charging for the installation labor.
Blackdiamond925
I assumed labor would be included, but I looked back and found labor isn't included. Strange.

Strange for sure but I'm still not buying it.

CMSU22
I would have to say that if the winch is on the window sticker, you have paid for install labor. At least that is the way it was for me.
