Decker Posted October 19, 2021 Share Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) Looking around here at CAP it is very apparent that we are in some kind of different place from just couple years ago or so. We have this unsure feeling on just about every subject related to assembling units to maintaining equipment, parts on hand and just something simple like cleaning the place. The workforce hourly and salaried has pretty much become completely unengaged with their operations, the parts they work with much less the finished products we send out the door are just something in passing. High level managers are in some kind of dazed state of... we need the units, we don`t have the parts but dam it we need the units... anyway so send the unfinished units to the D/T lots and count them in our daily numbers. The leave and never return is at a level I`ve never seen in all the years I`ve been watching from the inside of our paradise. CAP went from 1800 to over 5400 hourly working stiffs and now there`s less than 1000 vested working stiff. The new faces never seem to stop changing to even newer faces. Then there`s the make believe world at CAP. FTT numbers higher than ever, FCPA results prove everything is GREAT and Quality is at an all time high.... but AWOL`s consistently running at 20% to 25%, double up`s everywhere, move operator`s to DELTA and QC operations that umm well just do as their told, kinda. Where will Ford be as a member of the business society? Making electric units? Saving the world from green house gasses? Making everyone included? Pretending the bubble they`ve been riding isn`t going to pop? With the leadership in place on the law making level and the conforming to every trendy issue Ford is trying to keep up with, one can`t help but wonder, where all this uncertainty is headed. Recall that Mulally stood up and applauded when someone finally had the guts to report "red" status at a program review. I know Alan isn't exactly loved on these pages, but everyone has been in a meeting where the data is just somehow "off". In the event you are unaware of the madness running through our society then just be sure that someone will clue you in as they put you in your very own special hug you, coat on. What`s the old saying? “You can`t make this shit up” oh that`s the one... A group of highly educated human beings has decided to put yet another jab mandate in place, in of all places a university, but it’s not associated with the Rona. Umm… the University of Denver, deep thinkers and/or administrators are making staff and students take saliva tests for the Rona every nine days on top of providing proof of Jabability to just sleep in a lecture hall or attend classes in person. But now the deep thinkers are going to put the peddle to the medal and shift into overfrickendrive. FLU (dun dun dun…) season is approaching (isn`t that a yearly thing???)) and the deep thinkers now require proof of having been vaccinated against the flu. Companies like Ford are more concerned about being "woke" and "green" and scoring political points for the minority of the population than they are putting out the best product possible. I remember the Peterson/Polling years where Ford was on the rise. Great product was what gained them market share, kept people working and made everyone happy. Good product and good sales takes care of a lot of alleged social ills. Regarding the next 38 months, the best we can hope for is no more damage from the idiots we have in the White House and Congress. If you want to talk about something how about making the parts in our vehicles and building vehicles the best we can and better than the other guys? You never cut your way to prosperity and exiting / bailing on the car market while foreign transplants started from scratch and making money indicates priority levels and execution. Will the picture of our society be a historic accounting of applied decisions made from now to then? Like putting the pieces of a painting together? The artists at work currently are doing something just like putting those pieces together with their acts, decisions and policies. In front of the artists they are using such pieces as, Putting in place and allowing for hundreds of thousands of illegal occupants to become part of the society`s picture. Opening the society`s check book to give away free transportation, food, clothing, housing assistance and cash for the illegal occupants. Considering giving hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to be given to each illegal occupant for their treatment as illegal occupants. To highlight the picture of our society the artists are adding a background of decisions and/or policies that is alienating our society from the other societies in the world. The artists wish to portray the picture of our society as one with little if any turmoil. There is name for this form of art that most artist use in their depictions, this form of art is considered, surrealism. Then like all true artisans, the artists will pour their feelings into their rendering of society`s picture . Even if to the society members looking at the picture don`t seem to have true understand of the feelings in the picture that the artist portrayed. The leader of the free world and his co president of the free world don`t look at each other and then physically move apart so as not to stand next to each other at a ceremony viewed by the other world leaders? Then the First Lady and the Second Dude show up in Wisconsin to express the countries loving, caring support for the families of murdered loved ones. The First Lady and the Second Dude go to area hospitals to console the injured victims of a terrible act. The leader of the free world and the Co President of the free world are painting a portrait of our society, way outside the lines, kinda Picassoish. Could not China, Cuba and Mexico do the same for certain US locations? On a Ford note, kind of glad we never needed to go to see the Explorer operation in Russia. When I "retired" and came back as a contract person, I was able to retain my Ford email address. Some sort of flag was reset and my coworkers for years were unable to send me an email.
