James Decker Posted November 3, 2021 Share Posted November 3, 2021 I have a 07 Lincoln MKZ 3.5 engine.it wont crank ,hooked it to 2 different scanners both say TCM no communication. So i ran a wire from the starter turned the key on tuched the wire to the battery it fired right up .so i was thinking ok the ignition switch is bad, so i went to drive it to our local parts house, it takes off in second gear and doesn't shift out of second gear. Ok i know that the TCM if bad will not let it start, and it controls the shifting. So i got another TCM put it on still nothing, it did come off of a couple year newer car. I took it back got one off of the same year that the guy had literally just drove it in. And it doesn't work either. I have checked every ground,fuse,and relay i can check.
