Wards 10 Best Interiors 2021

Recommended Posts

Putting this in the Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum because Ford has 2 winners, Mustang Mach-E and F-150. Ford is the only automaker with more than 1 winner this year. There will be a ceremony for winners at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan during Automotive Tech Week on November 16.  It’s All About Utility on Wards 10 Best Interiors List | WardsAuto

Looks like Jim Hackett's design thinking continues to spread throughout Ford, including the departments responsible for vehicle interior design.

What does it take to qualify here? There are several that don’t seem like they should be on this list, including the bronco sport IMO.

New or significantly improved.

Here is the summary from Wards T-dubz sir. For eligibility, akirby correctly noted that "to be eligible an interior must be all-new or significantly improved from the prior year."

Bronco Sport was a nominee (see the lists in the first 2 posts), but not one of the winners.

"We score based on materials, comfort, ergonomics, safety, fit-and-finish and, most importantly, aesthetics and design harmony. There’s no price cap but value certainly is a factor.

Part of our scoring also is dedicated to driver information – how user-friendly is the infotainment system?"
