A Plan eligibility

Our nephew says he can get us an A Plan PIN for the SD we (wife and I) have on order. When we placed our order, we told the dealer we would have a PIN, they asked how we were eligible, we told them our nephew. Sales manager looked at a piece of paper and told us we were good (didn't show us what he was looking at, we assume it was plan rules). Nothing I've found online which shows A Plan eligibility says aunts & uncles are eligible. Plan rules can change, websites don't always get updated timely. Can anyone confirm if we are good with using an A plan PIN, or if we should have our nephew get us an X-plan PIN instead?
